NOTE: This will be the last generation of descendants that I will post online, as even this generation is quite big. Also, there are a number of living descendants among the 3X great grandchildren of Loyalists John Adams and wife Sarah Coley. For those families in which there are living children, their names will not be included in the family sketch.

There are many descendants for whom I can find no further information, especially with more stringent privacy laws in Canada. If it is possible that a “lost” person might be living, that information will also be omitted from the family sketch.

These family sketches will be posted in groups organized under each of the children of John and Sarah (Coley) Adams based on the birth order of those children.

Today’s sketches cover the descendants of Thomas Adams and Clarissa Corliss.

She was a servant in the same home as George in 1920.The George Miller who married in Portland that day married Frances McGibney and that family is together in Portland in 1930. In 1930, George, widowed, is boarding in Smyrna, Aroostook, Maine with two young sons, William, 8, and Norman, 6, both born in Maine. Neither son is found after 1930.

Hannah Morrison (Annie Clara4, Thomas3, Jonathan2, John1) was born June 1876, Aroostook County, Maine; died 27 July 1916, Lewiston, Androscoggin, Maine; married Charles Andrew Tarr, 11 June 1899, Maine as his second wife. Charles’ first wife, Melissa Etta Young, died in 1895, leaving him with 8 children under the age of 15. They had three sons – Edmund, Percy and Charles Wilbur Homer, who all seemed to use Charles as part of their names. They also had a son called Charles E., born May 1900 listed in the 1900 census, aged one month, but gone in 1910. That appears to be the same person as Edmund A., who was not enumerated in 1910.
