Quite a lot of genealogical research has been done through the years on both the Fiske family and the Crispes, early in Suffolk, England. The most recent article was published in NEHGS’s The Register 151:291-299, William Crispe of Laxfield, Suffolk, Great Grandfather of Anthony and Joshua Fisher of Dedham, Massachusetts by Clifford L. Rev. Matthias Candler also stated in his work that Geoffrey had eleven sons. If so, the others died young, but there is no documentation provided for their existence.

Geoffrey Fiske, born c1426, Laxfield, Suffolk, England

Geoffrey Fiske was born c1426, the son of Simon Fiske and an unknown first wife, of Laxfield, Suffolk, England.

He most likely married (1) Unknown (MNU) and then (2) Margaret, who wrote her own will on 4 May 1505 and proved just a week later on 13 May 1505. The wording of her will gives the appearance that the children named were those of her husband and not her own.

More details are known about the life of Geoffrey Fiske because he was involved in a number and land transactions with other family members.
