2025 is about to come to a close and this is the final Saturday Night Genealogy Fun post from Randy Seaver for the year. The topic isn’t a surprise:
Come on, everybody, join in and accept the mission and execute it with precision. Here’s your chance to tell us about the neat genealogy and Family history gear you received over the holidays.
1) Was Genea-Santa good to you? What genealogy gifts did you receive for Christmas this year?
Genea-Santa must have agreed that I was a good girl this year because I received the two books that were on my wish list.
These were my request last week:
I would love to find the Great Migration Directory: Immigrants to New England, 1620–1640 — A Concise Compendium, 2nd Edition by Robert Charles Anderson under the Christmas tree this year.
There is also a brand new book that will help me understand more about my paternal tree, which consists of Carpatho-Rusyns. That book is Out of Nowhere: The Art of Carpathian Rus’ by Paul Robert Magocsi.
Those were the only two genea-gifts I received, but I was thrilled to find them waiting for me on Christmas morning.
Since the next SNGF post won’t happen until 2026, I wish everyone a safe, fun New Year’s Eve and a happy, healthy 2026.
It’s great that Genea-Santa answered your wish! Happy reading.
