March is Women’s History Month so I’d like to spotlight the National Women’s History Alliance.

The National Women’s History Project (NWHP) was founded in Santa Rosa, California in 1980 to honor women during Women’s History Month. In 2018, the organization became the National Women’s History Alliance (NWHA) to recognize women’s contributions to history every day of the year.
The website has a lot of information on it and quite a few resources, many of which are free.
The home page image above includes a tab for Resources. The drop down menu has links to Educational Materials, which mostly explain programs which can be presented to students for a fee.
However, most of the other choices in the menu lead to free materials.

Women’s History All Year is a calendar of months, each of which opens in the style of “this day in history.”

Women’s History books and Videos has a long list of books pertaining to the right to vote and a selection of books chosen by the NWHA Black Women’s History Committee.

Here is a partial list of recommended videos and films, some of which are housed on YouTube:

There are also links to Women’s History Resources and Publications, which include magazines and gazettes.
Lastly, there is a link to the NWHA store, which includes gift items as well as educational resources.

If you are looking for resources to share for Women’s History Month, the National Women’s History Alliance is an excellent place to visit.
