Today is the 11th blogiversary of Empty Branches on the Family Tree! and my hubby never thought it would last!!!

It definitely doesn’t feel like I’ve been blogging for 11 years, but it has, indeed, been that long. My blog is my baby and I still love posting new family history finds, sharing new resources and talking methodology.

I very much appreciate readers who have followed me for years and I especially love all those who take the time to leave comments.

My original goal was to share what I’ve learned in 40+ years of genealogy research and I’ll continue to do that.

Instead of sharing posts, I’d like to highlight some of the great resources I’ve compiled on my blog:

County Histories – Several years ago, I compiled links for all the county histories that I could find for every (3000+) counties in the United States. To access them, just click on the County Histories tab under the Empty Branches header photo above.

GeneaGems – Through the years, I’ve found some top notch websites – almost all free – with excellent genealogy resources. None of these GeneaGems are well known websites and there are currently over 60 gems in the list. Access them by clicking on the GeneaGems tab above.

U.S. States and General Links – This is also on a tab below the header photo. There are links to every U.S. state and some general countrywide links to genealogy resources, again most of which are free.

Last, but not least, I’d like to spotlight other genealogy blogs, so check out Blogs I Follow at the top. There is a lengthy list and I try to keep it somewhat up to date so if you click on a blog title, there are recent posts to read.
