The second earliest generation in the Fisher branch of the family tree is still well back in time, as it is estimated that Robert Fisher, son of John Fisher and his wife, Christian (MNU), was born c1495, possibly in Wingfield, Suffolk, England, where the family lived.
Robert apparently married before the church records were ordered to be kept in the 1530s and no record has been found giving even her first name. So, Robert married Unknown (MNU) and apparently died before her husband.
However, they were the parents of four known children:
- (Possibly) Margaret, born c1521; married William Lawes, 16 January 1542, Wingfield, Suffolk, England
- Robert, born c1523
- Anne/Amy, born c1525; married John Forder, 8 July 1546, Wingfield, Suffolk, England
- William, born c1527; died between 14 June 1591-9 August 1591; married Margerie Bert, daughter of William Bert, 15 October 1551, Stradbroke, Suffolk, England. William was educated and could read and write. In adulthood, he lived in Syleham, Suffolk, England, which adjoins Wingfield.
Robert’s death date has not been found. He was living as of January 1547/48, when he witnessed a will, but had died before 15 January 1563/64 when his son William signed a lease.
