The last Saturday Night Genealogy Fun of 2022 is actually my first of 2023 since this is being posted on 2 January! Randy Seaver left us with one last holiday-themed challenge:
Come on, everybody, join in and accept the mission and execute it with precision.
1) Was Genea-Santa good to you? What genealogy gifts did you receive for Christmas?
I have to admit that this is the first time in many years that I had no specific genea-gifts on my wish list.
However, because of some excellent deals on Black Friday, I got two items that are essentials for genealogy research, both of which I have been needing for a while.
What are they?
A new laptop, very much needed so I can teach my Anquestors genealogy class. My old laptop was very old and as slow a molasses. This one is nice and fast.
The second items is even more essential to my research – a new desktop computer! My old computer crashed a couple of months ago. Although it started right back up with no issues (and yes, I back up my computer on IDrive, Backblaze and a portable hard drive), it made me nervous since it’s never done that before.
Genea-Santa has made me very unexpectedly happy! I hope he was good to you, too.
Thanks, Randy, for this week’s challenge and I wish everyone a happy healthy 2023!
