We have finally reached the end of the line! The youngest child of Robert and Mary Carlisle married Ira Hicks. They had four children who married and left descendants:

Robert Hicks³ (Mary², Robert¹) was born c1824, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada; died after 1881; married Mary Dayley, 1 September 1853, new Brunswick, Canada. Mary was born c1831, New Brunswick, Canada; died after 1881.

2. Patrick Cobbett, born c1855, New Brunswick, Canada; died after 1881, when he was still at home
3. Ingram Edward, born c1856, New Brunswick, Canada; died 17 October 1888, Moncton, Westmorland, Canada. His obituary said he left a wife and 3 children. PEI newspapers were copied, so perhaps his wife was from there.
4. Mary Jane, born c1860, New Brunswick, Canada; died after 1881, when she was still at home.
5. Robert Gilford, born c1862, New Brunswick, Canada; died after 1881, when he was still at home.
6. David, born c1866, New Brunswick, Canada; died after 1881, when he was still at home
7. Ann, born c1870; died between 1871-1881.

Sarah Hicks³ (Mary², Robert¹) was born 21 August 1832, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada; died 27 December 1906, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada; married James Moor Wood, 13 June 1850, Wellington, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada. He was born 29 August 1823, Nova Scotia; died after 1911 census when he lived in Kent County with his son’s family.

8. Charlotte, born 30 April 1862, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada; died after 1891 when she lived with her uncle, Ira Hicks. She was listed as the mother of his daughter, Mary Chrestena. No marriage or death record has been found for her after 1891.
9. William Moore, born 27 July 1864, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada; reportedly died 9 October 1942 and is buried in Kent, New Brunswick, Canada. However, he hasn’t been found in the census after 1891 and no death certificate in New Brunswick has been found for him. It appears he was unmarried.
10. Charles Ira, born 27 March 1867, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada; died 28 February 1949, Moncton, Westmorland, Canada; married Susan Maude Bigelow. She was born 15 August 1871, Prince Edward Island, Canada; died 21 September 1927.
11. Sarah J., born 1868, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada; died after 1891 when she was at home and unmarried.
12. Ida May, born 1870, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada; died 31 March 1937, Moncton, Westmorland, Canada; married Frank Brown, 28 May 1895, Moncton, Westmorland, New Brunswick, Canada. He was born 25 December 1870; died 12 January 1934.
13. Nancy Victoria, born 6 December 1872, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada; died 22 October 1942, Moncton, Westmorland, New Brunswick, Canada; unmarried.
14. Elizabeth Ann, born 13 April 1878, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada; died 18 May 1953, John, New Brunswick, Canada; married Samuel Roundell. He was born 1 August 1884, England; died 15 December 1952, Moncton, Westmorland, New Brunswick, Canada.
15. Marianne (Mina) Rebecca, born 18 March 1881, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada; died 1974, probably Albert County, New Brunswick, Canada; married Frederick Archibald Douthwright, 17 July 1903, New Brunswick, Canada. He was born 29 March 1883, New Brunswick, Canada; died 14 January 1969, Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada.

James Hicks³ (Mary², Robert¹) was born c1836, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada; died between 1881-1891, probably Moncton, Westmorland, New Brunswick, Canada, but possibly Kent County or even Meddybemps, as one online person states; married Mary Catherine Doyle, 9 December 1860, Buctouche, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada. Catherine was born c1842, Nova Scotia, Canada; died 21 May 1912, Foxboro, Norfolk, Massachusetts. The family still lived in Moncton in 1891. NOTE: Online trees show duplicates of children, likely because of varying ages in the census records. I have listed their birth order based on their childhood ages in the census records. 3. Rebecca Jane (Jennie), born 31 December 1865, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada; died 2 September 1918, Malden, Middlesex, Massachusetts; married John Engstrom, 21 September 1907, North Adams, Berkshire, Massachusetts.
4. Mariah May, born 3 February 1867, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada; died 30 March 1913, Everett, Middlesex, Massachusetts; married Burton Powers, c1892. He was born April 1872, Canada; died after 1913.
5. Manford/Manfred Earle, born 26 March 1869, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada; died 26 April 1949, Foxboro, Norfolk, Massachusetts; married Ada May Ward, 26 October 1898, Foxboro, Norfolk, Massachusetts. She was born 14 November 1867, New Brunswick, Canada; died July 1964, Foxboro, Norfolk, Massachusetts.
6. Prudence Anne, born 8 September 1870, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada; died 22 January 1964, Pictou County, Nova Scotia, Canada; married Robert John Rae, 13 January 1897, Westmorland, New Brunswick, Canada. He was born 23 April 1873; died 13 March 1951, Pictou County, Nova Scotia, Canada.
7. Nancy, born 1871, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada; died after 1881; no further record and not mentioned as a child of James and Catherine in an 1891 book.
8. Fanny, born c1873, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada; died after 1891; married Albert Lyons, He was born c1870, reportedly Shediac, Westmorland, New Brunswick, Canada; died after 1891. They had a son, Roy, born c1890, but this family is not found after 1891.
9. Silas, born 1875, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada; died after 1901; married Hattie (Clark) Gay, 22 May 1901, Foxboro, Norfolk, Massachusetts. Silas hasn’t been found in the census records after his marriage. They may have divorced and Silas may have returned to Canada and gone back and forth.
10. Catherine (Cassie), born 18 September 1879, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada; died after 1891, when she was at home in Moncton, Westmorland, New Brunswick, Canada.
11. Arthur, born September 1880, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada; died after 1881 and not mentioned in an 1891 family history.

William S. Hicks³ (Mary², Robert¹) was born 1841, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada; died 1926, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada; married Patricia Ruth McAlmon. She was born 1846, Canada; died 1917, Canada. Both are buried at McKees Mills, Kent, New Brunswick, Canada. William was a carriage maker and the family lived in Portland, Cumberland, Maine in 1870 and 1880. In 1920, William lived with Newton and Caroline Davis, relatives by marriage, in Middlesex County, Massachusetts.

She was born July 1865, Georgia; died after 1930, when she was a widow living in Chattanooga, Hamilton, Tennessee. They had no children.
