Today is the day in which we honor family members and ancestors who gave their lives for the freedoms that Americans enjoy today.

Vietnam War, 1960-1975
Gulf War, 1990-1991
Last, but certainly not least, are all of the military interventions which have taken place from the 1990s through until today.

Pequot War 1636-1638 gets less recognition than King Philips War but it is another one sided conflict between the Indians and the Connecticut Colonies.
