RootsTech 2020: Opening Day

Today is the Opening Day of RootsTech 2020 and, if like me, you are unable to be there, don’t despair!

RootsTech 2020 has not one, but TWO sets of streamed sessions. The first, which begins this morning at 8:00 a.m. Mountain Time, is the Free Livestream Schedule.

There are many terrific classes in this year’s livestreamed sessions.

There is a nice variety of genealogical topics offered on all four days, including several on DNA, which is still a hot topic among researchers.

The second opportunity to view OTHER sessions, not in the free set is to purchase a Virtual Pass for $129. With this pass, you can watch another 30 (yes, THIRTY) sessions from home at your leisure until 1 September 2020.

One note about the Virtual Pass is that these presentations are NOT livestreamed, but recorded and access will open several weeks after the conference.  That gives your brain a chance to recuperate from everything you learned from the live sessions. 🙂

Whether you attend just the free livestreaming or you add on the Virtual Pass, there are many opportunities to take advantage of RootsTech 2020 at home and extend your genealogical knowledge. 🙂
