I can’t believe it’s been two years, but it has!
Empty Branches on the Family Tree is two years old today. I’ve made a lot of progress in two years. I’ve learned all kinds of things about navigating in WordPress, but I have met my goal to put up at least one new post every day for the past year. It was actually a lot of work, given the fact that we spent about ten weeks of 2015 on cruise ships. That meant I needed to keep posts in the queue ready to go.
I love being able to share stories, resources and techniques about researching family history and I hope you have learned something new in my posts.
STATISTICS: As of today, Empty Branches has total 510 published posts, 44,023 views and 431 comments. I am really proud that there are consecutive posts all the way back to September 14, 2014, making today the 490th day in a row of new stories and resources. The research toolbox tabs have hundreds of mostly free genealogy resources and WordPress tells me 4,963 unique URLs are embedded in this website. I guess I’ve been busy, but some days seem a lot busier than others.
I am excited about starting Year #3.
Thank you to everyone who has been following me during my two years as a blogger.
Happy blogiversary!
Hi Elizabeth, Thank you. I’ve loved every minute of it!
Congratulations! I have to say that it seems like you’ve been blogging much longer. When I started following your blog more than a year ago, I never would have guessed that you weren’t a veteran blogger! And your streak of daily posts is very impressive. Keep up the good work!
Happy blogiversary! Here’s to another great year!
Michael, Thank you for taking the time to congratulate me. I am looking forward to this new year of blogging.
Happy 2nd Blogiversary!
Jana, Thank you for the greetings. Hope to meet you at RootsTech in a couple of weeks.
