This is one of my favorite photos of my paternal grandparents. George died of tuberculosis when my father was only ten, so I never knew him. However, Nana (Julia) had their wedding picture framed and it hung in her living room for as far back in my lifetime as I can remember. It is now hanging in my gallery of family pictures.
The photo itself is 15 inches by 18 inches, plus there is a matte frame and a thick wooden frame so it is quite large.
I can’t believe that this photo will be one hundred years old in a very few weeks and I feel very fortunate to be its current keeper.
