Family Tree Maker 2017 has a big announcement:

Here’s an important fact to know: If you purchased your Family Tree Maker from Software MacKiev, then the March 2017 release will be FREE for you. If you originally purchased your FTM program from Ancestry, even if you have accessed Software MacKiev’s website to update your program since they purchased it from Ancestry, you will have to PURCHASE the new version. Check the Software MacKiev website for an announcement of the 2017 version pricing. Be prepared for some sticker shock if you didn’t buy your FTM from Software MacKiev and weren’t at RootsTech!
