Margaret Brasher, the third child and second daughter of Lawrence Brasher and Elizabeth Black was born on 5 January 1798 in South Carolina.
Margaret married Edward Wooldridge, another South Carolinian, on 12 May 1816 in Christian County, Kentucky.
Edward was quite a bit older than Margaret, born on 12 August 1789, and also died many years before his wife, on 9 November 1852 in Christian County.
Margaret passed away on 5 November 1886 in Christian County, Kentucky.
By 1820, the young couple was living next door to Christian County in Hopkins County, Kentucky and there were two young children at home. There were three more children by 1830 with the two youngest born before 1840. Thankfully, all of the Wooldridge children are documented.
However, their children were the first in the family to leave Kentucky, settling in Cedar County, Missouri. Also, unlike their father and forebears who farmed, their sons achieved much in their lives.
