Can anyone believe that it is already the end of September? I think by next week, our local supermarket will continue their tradition of bringing out the Santa Clauses to sell and they display them with the Halloween pumpkins. there’s something just not right about that!
However, it is the weekend and Randy Seaver has given us an AI-themed task to complete:
Your mission, should you decide to accept it (cue the Mission Impossible! music) is to:
1) Genealogy can be really fun. Please create, or have Artificial Intelligence create, a genealogy-related joke or funny story.
I’m glad we don’t have to come up with the story or joke on our own because I’m definitely not that creative.
I asked ChatGPT to create five original jokes not found elsewhere online. I must have a warped sense of humor because I often don’t find comedians or jokes funny and I feel the same way about these:
1.
Why did the genealogist break up with their partner?
Because they just couldn’t commit to a single branch.
2.
What do you call a family reunion in a haunted house?
A paranormal lineage activity.
3.
Why don’t genealogists ever get lost?
Because they always know where they came from.
4.
Why did the ancestor get kicked out of the family tree?
Too many shady roots and a history of leafing when things got tough.
5.
What did the DNA test say to the family secret?
“You can run, but you can’t de-hide.”
I don’t find any of those funny at all.
However, I did see one in the cartoon Maxine (which I usually do enjoy when I see her). No image because I’m sure it’s copyrighted, but I chuckled:
Traced my family tree.It grows mostly nuts!
Thanks, Randy, for this week’s challenge. I hope others find better jokes than I did!
I chuckled at no. 3.
