The August Tech Moment is really more of a raising awareness moment for those of you who use AI and videos for your genealogy blogging.

I am the first to admit that that does not describe me at all, as I have little to no interest in AI and don’t have the skills or the interest to do much with video.

However, for those of you who are into both, Vidyo.ai is a tech tool to investigate.

The reason I’ve chosen to spotlight this tool is because I’ve seen it mentioned by other bloggers. Don’t take this “spotlight” to mean that I’m recommending or endorsing it – the purpose of this post is just to bring an awareness.

If I were interested in AI and videos, this website looks like a promising place. While it is by subscription, notice that the blue button in the top right corner says START FOR FREE and the blue button in the middle of the screen adds that there are 75 minutes of free upload per MONTH, which seems generous for those just dabbling.

It is necessary to sign up for a free account:

I dug a bit deeper to determine cost, but as the Pro Plan pricing indicates, one would have to be big-time into working with videos, as the cost is $29.99 per month:

If you are interested in learning more and reading reviews, g2 is a good site to visit.

That’s it for this month’s Tech Moment.
