George Alberty & Evaline (MNU) of Washington County, Arkansas

Today’s family story is a short one because George Alberty, the fourth son of Henry Alberty and Rebecca (MNU) was born c1813 in North Carolina and disappears from the records after the 1860 census of Vineyard Township, Washington, Arkansas.

George Alberty married Evaline (MNU), c1844 and they were the parents of two daughters:

  1. Emma Rillas, born c1846; died after 1900, possibly in Stillwater Cherokee Nation, Indian Territory; married Joseph W. Waters, 13 June 1860, Washington County, Arkansas
  2. Luella Melissa, born 10 March 1848; died 22 July 1893, Washington County, Arkansas; married James N. Longwith, c1868

In 1870, Evaline was living with Joseph and Emma Waters, still in Washington County, Arkansas. The two waters children were also in the home, but no George. Evaline moved to Oklahoma with Joseph and Emma and is enumerated there in 1900, living with them in Stillwater.

George and Evaline have descendants today, but I would love to know more about their story. When, where and how did George die? Did he die from Civil War-related causes? What happened to Evaline and what was her maiden name?

This is the child of Henry’s and Rebecca’s about which I know the least. Please share if you have information about this family.
