RootsTech 2024 News!

Disclaimer: I receive a complimentary subscription to MyHeritage. However, my opinions are my own and MyHeritage is a terrific genealogy product!

RootsTech 2024 opens in just two more days on Thursday, 29 February 2024. Are you ready?

Many of the genealogy-related companies make big announcements during RootsTech and I doubt that this year will be any different.

Let’s start with MyHeritage news.

If you are annoyed by recent news from a competing company regarding the new need to have a subscription to access DNA features other than ethnicity results, then you will love today’s announcement from MyHeritage:

For one week, beginning today, by uploading new DNA results to MyHeritage, you will have FREE access to ALL DNA features FOREVER!!! Yes, free FOREVER!!!

Still more from My Heritage —- MyHeritage is celebrating its 20th year and has released a short documentary honoring its two decades:

MyHeritage Documentary Part 1: The Early Years – A Dream Takes Root

MyHeritage Documentary Part 2: Starting Up – Turning Vision into Reality

MyHeritage Documentary Part 3: Getting Noticed – The World Begins to Watch

MyHeritage Documentary Part 4: Leveling Up – Expanding Horizons

MyHeritage Documentary Part 5: Making An Impact – Changing Lives Worldwide

MyHeritage Documentary Part 6: Stepping into the Future – The Next Chapter

Expect to hear more news from RootsTech 2024 as CEO Gilad Japhet is giving an in-person talk on Friday, 1 March 2024, at 1:30 p.m.

Next up with early news is Legacy Family Tree Webinars:

They’ve already announced their RootsTech 2024 special deals, which can be accessed both at home and in-person:

Note that the 50% off a webinar membership only applies to new subscriptions, but the Legacy Family Tree software is a bargain at $20 (usually $34.95) and it includes a PDF user’s guide.

As more announcements are made in the next few days, I’ll be publishing updates.
