April is moving right along and it’s once again time for Saturday Night Genealogy Fun with Randy Seaver on Genea-Musings.
He has a very different kind of challenge for us this week:
1) Let’s have some genealogy fun tonight and answer some family history-related questions with four responses (Four Things!).
Not being the creative type, I’ll write about several of the “Four Things” categories that Randy chose.
Four Places I’ve Lived:
Passaic, Passaic, New Jersey
Mexico City, Mexico
Alta Loma, California
Tucson, Arizona
Four Ancestral Places I’ve Visited:
Calais, Washington, Maine
Copenhagen, Denmark
Öved, Skane, Sweden
Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland
Four Favorite Ancestors:
This is the hardest category for me and my answers would definitely change over time, depending on the research trail I’m following.
Johan Caspersson Sandberg & Anna Stina Berggren of Genarp, Skane, Sweden
Loyalists Robert & Catherine Carlisle
Maria Patorai of Udol, Slovakia
George Soule, Mayflower passenger
Four Favorite Genealogy Record Collections:
ArkivDigital – Digital Swedish records – all kinds
Tax Records – United States
Probate Records – everywhere
Slovak Church Registers
This was a fun, different kind of challenge. Thanks, Randy. 🙂
You’ve done a fair amount of travel for living and family history. Isn’t it great to see the world? I think your Loyalist ancestor is one of my favorites also.
That’s a wide variety of ancestors you’ve picked. I love the places you have been able to visit. I hope to go to Ireland and Sweden someday.
