This family is part of my one-place study of St. Dimitry’s Greek Catholic (today Byzantine Catholic) Church parish, serving Udol and Hajtovka, Slovakia, covering the years 1827-about 1920. Veronica is incorrectly called Kundrat in the marriage record. Family apparently returned to Slovkia in late 1902 as John’s baptismal entry is the last recorded in 1902, after the November entries.

4. Gabriel, born c1861; died 1 August, buried 2 August 1873, aged 12 years. There is only one baptism and burial for any Gabriel David. Baptismal record names parents John David & Helen Prisztas, but burial record names parents John David & Helen Fengya. However, when Gabriel died, he lived at Ujak 67, the same house as John David & Helen Fengya. In addition, there are no other entries – marriage, birth or death for any Helen Prisztas David. It appears that his mother was Helen Fengya.

6. Anthony, born 18 July, bp 22 July 1866; married Veronica Csanda, born 8 November, bp 13 November 1870, daughter of Peter Csanda & Catherine Ratvan of Ujak 19, 11 February 1890. She is incorrectly called Kundrat in the marriage record.

David, John (4 June 1856-23 April 1901), son of John David & Helena Fengya & Anna Kundrat (3 June 1855-26 October 1905), daughter of Michael Kundrat & Helen Hnatojurka of Ujak 72, married 24 October 1880, Ujak 72, 94, 96, 105 & 106, GC, GC

John died 23 April, buried 25 April 1901, aged 73 years. Anna, widow, born Kundrat, died 26 October, buried 28 October 1905, aged 48 years.
