He was born c1805; died 13 April 1891, Sunbury County, New Brunswick, Canada. This family lived in Sunbury County. Richardson apparently had married someone before Mahalia, as he had a 17 year old son, Benjamin, living in the household in 1851. Mahalia and Richardson had four children.
  5. Philip, born 7 July 1817; died 14 July 1904, buried at Burtts Corner, York, New Brunswick, Canada; married Lavina Gould, 9 January 1850. She was born c1817-1822, New Brunswick, Canada; died 1 January 1901, New Brunswick, Canada. She is buried next to Philip. Philip and Lavina/Lavinia had at least three children, based on the 1871 census.
  6. Jemima, born 19 February 1819; died 26 August 1914, Sunbury County, New Brunswick, Canada. In the 1911 census, she lived with son David’s family; married Israel Tracy, 23 October 1843, New Brunswick, Canada. John married (2) Huldah (MNU) before 1871. The also had several children.
  10. Benedict, born 7 October 1825; died 14 October 1893, Fredericton, York County, New Brunswick, Canada; married (1) Lucy Ann Dunphy, 6 October 1859, New Brunswick, Canada. 11. Richard, born 26 March 1828; died 22 September 1906, New Brunswick, Canada; married Mary E. Nason, 28 February 1867, New Brunswick, Canada. She was born 9 May 1844, new Brunswick, Canada; died 14 August 1926, New Brunswick, Canada. When looking at this family, Richard appears to have married (1) Ruth, who was still alive in 1871. Also, he appears to be the same man in 1871 and 1881, but the children’s names don’t match at all either unless they all switched and used middle names. More work needs to be done here.

Children: Allen

  1. Sophia, born 26 June 1817; died 14 October 1856; married William Harris, 25 March 1835. He was born c1815, New Brunswick, Canada; died after 1851 census. They had at least six children.

  6. Rhoda, born 26 August 1826; died 17 May 1875, Ontario, Canada; reportedly married John  Menhennick, 15 March 1859. He was born c1824, England; died 26 December 1902, Ontario, Canada. However, John’s wife in the census records is consistently Mary. More work needs to be done on this family.
  7. Emma, born 1 February 1828; married David Frazee, Ontario, Canada. He was born 12 April 1823; died 8 September 1898. They had five children. There is a marriage record for David Frazee to Sarah Ann McQuarrie in December 1850, but Emma is his wife in 1851 and in later censuses. I wonder if the registrar inserted the wrong bride’s name in the official register? There is no marriage for an Emma to David before or after the Sarah entry, but one of their son’s marriage records names his parents as David Frazee and Emma Allen.
  8. Hepzibah, born 12 April 1829; died after 1901 census, probably in Ontario, Canada; married Jeremiah Morehouse, 21 August 1859, New Brunswick, Canada. He was born 22 November 1827, New Brunswick, Canada; died 28 September 1911, Ontario, Canada. They had at least four children.
